LINC Commissioner SuEllen Fried has been selected by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for the 2013 ATHENA Leadership Award given to outstanding are women's leaders. Fried was recognized for work as founder of BullySafe USA and her tireless work on women's and child abuse and neglect issues.

Mayor James announces $1 million job training grant

KCPT to air special on KC violence

KPCT will air a special program on violence in Kansas City calling it a "public health crisis."  The program Shots Fired: KCPT Takes Aim at Gun Violence will air Thursday, Aug. 17th at 7 pm and feature the work of Aim4Peace and local civic and law enforcement officials.
