Mayor James announces $1 million job training grant

Mayor Sly James announced Face Forward KC, a four-year, $1 million initiative to provide educational services, job training and placement services, mentoring services, and legal assistance to juvenile offenders and youth at risk of juvenile offenses in the City of Kansas City, MO in Jackson County.

This grant was awarded to the Full Employment Council, Inc. from the United States Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.

The grant was one of only 20 funded nationwide.
