Independence community takes a night out against crime
McCoy Park will host the Independence Night Out Against Crime celebration Tuesday, October 7 at 5 p.m. Independence Night Out Against Crime is held in support with National Night Out.
Families and residents are invited to come out after school and work until 8 p.m. to enjoy free food, activities, and free community resources. Organizations will be available to speak with families concerning alarm systems, locks, and additional home security resources.
Independence Police Department has partnered with LINC and National Night Out to support Independence Night Out Against Crime. Police department representatives will be present at McCoy Park to talk with residents and families on how to prevent crime in the community.
Independence Night Out Against Crime works to prevent crime through education and community awareness. Residents are invited to attended to learn more about crime prevention strategies and enjoy free food and fun activities with their neighbors.
