Genesis Promise Academy organizes Oct. 9 parent workshop

An upcoming free parent workshop will discuss multiple issues that parents and children face together. The Interactive Parents Workshop will be held Thursday, October 9 at Genesis Promise Academy, in Kansas City Public Schools.

From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., attendees can participate in workshop discussing topics such as Homework Help, Picking the Perfect Book, Developing Mathematicians, and Selecting the Right High School. Prizes and refreshments will be available between workshops.

Free food and child care will be available during the event. Children will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities during the event. LINC has partnered with Genesis Promise Academy in KCPS, Urban League of Greater Kansas City, and Black and College Bound in support of the event and to provide speakers from the organizations to engage with parents.
