Second annual crime prevention celebration unites law enforcement, community

BECAUSE OF THE RAIN, THIS EVENT IS CANCELED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

In a continuing effort to support crime prevention, Kansas City United Against Crime will host its annual kick-off event Thursday, October 2 at Spring Valley Park at E. 27th Street and Woodland Ave.

Free food and activities will be available to families and community residents from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kansas City Police Department will be present to engage with families and promote crime prevention through education and awareness. Spay and Neuter Kansas City will be on site to offer affordable pet vaccinations and licenses to pet owners. See flyer for more details.

"Strengthening relationships between our community and law enforcement" is the key goal of Kansas City United Against Crime. LINC staff partners with local law enforcement and community organizations to provide a fun family environment for police officers and residents can interact.
