Missouri’s Department of Social Services also announced that Aldi grocery stores have been added to Amazon and Walmart as retailers that now allow shoppers to use their food stamp Electronic Benefits Transfer purchase cards to buy groceries online.

Food stamps — the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — has been an increasingly critical resource for households during the pandemic.

“I am pleased Missourians can count on the 15% increase now through June,“ said Jennifer Tidball, Acting Director, Department of Social Services. “For many Missourians, every extra SNAP dollar is important and helps make a difference in meeting their family’s nutritional needs.”
