Do you need help sorting out this pandemic-twisted, politically fraught election season?

Actual voting can begin as soon as Tuesday for the Nov. 3 election and a wave of organizations and volunteers are rolling in to help people find their best path to casting their ballot.

Kansas City’s Parks and Recreation Department and Voters Helping Voters is hosting walk-up opportunities at community centers for hopeful voters to get answers every Saturday through Oct. 17 to make or even complete an election plan.

Here’s what they can do for you:

  • You must be registered by Oct. 7 to vote in the November election, and the Voters Helping Voters can help you with that.

  • Questions about voting absentee or by mail-in ballot can be answered.

  • And as for that Missouri requirement that a mail-in ballot be notarized — notaries will be on site beginning Oct. 3 to take care of that too.

You can also at anytime go online to Vote411.org and register and get information about your ballot and your voting options, or see the information from 866 Our Vote, in the rail to the right.
