Two new LINC Commissioners approved

Two individuals have been approved as LINC Commissioners — the governance board for the Local Investment Commission — at the group's April meeting.

The new commissioners are Tom Davis and Ken Powell.

Davis is the chairman of MC Power Companies, which provides utility scale solar power. He has a wide range of civic interest and involvement including prior extensive service on the Missouri State Board of Education and the National Association of State Boards of Education.

Powell is the recently retired Kansas City Regional Commissioner for the Social Security Administration and an Executive Board Member of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Service.

Also recently appointed to the LINC Commission were Mark Flaherty, a Kansas City attorney, and Gary Stangler, the former director of the Missouri Dept. of Social Services who supported the initial creation of LINC.
