LINC works with one thousand volunteers during Project Shine

One thousand volunteers worked to prepare five schools in Independence for the upcoming school year during Project Shine Saturday, July 12.

LINC supported Project Shine again this year by working with the community to clean and paint in around the schools and performing light yard work. William Chrisman, Pioneer Ridge, Bryant, Sugar Creek, and Fairmount schools in the Independence School District have been updated through Project Shine efforts.

Project Shine has become an annual community event starting when schools were transferred from the Kansas City Public Schools to Independence in the summer of 2008.
