Volunteers need for variety of opportunities during Money Smart Month

One hundred people are needed to volunteer for Money Smart Month in April to work with community families and residents to improve their financial literacy.

Volunteer opportunities include: 

  • Money Smart KC Financial Funfest-Family-friendly 2014 campaign kick-off event at Sporting KC
  • Teaching Financial Literacy Curriculum- Teaching Junior Achievement financial literacy curriculum to juniors and seniors at KC area Boys & Girls Clubs and in in North Kansas City School District
  • Teaching Children to Save- Delivering 45 minute lessons to K-3 graders featuring children-centered activities teaching children the importance of saving money.
  • Money Smart Day-A free educational event for families and community residents to participate in financial education topics, one-on-one sessions with financial counselors, and more.  
  • And more 

Money Smart Month was able to help over 7,080 students from 99 schools and over 750 KC area adults in 2013 with the help of volunteers.
