New KCStat Dashboard connects community to city data

Kansas City, Mo., residents are now connected to city information in a new way. On Oct. 22, 2013, the City Manager's Office announced KCStat Dashboard, a data visualization that tracks city stats and progress towards City goals.

"The KCStat Dashboard is the City's way of helping residents see how we're doing at our job of serving them," said Mayor Sly James.  "Our residents deserve nothing less than a city government based on data-driven results, and KCStat is a great tool for benchmarking our results towards making Kansas City best."

KCStat Dashboard reports open Public Works cases, stolen bicycle reports, dangerous building maps and more with daily updated interactive maps. Viewers can also access KCPD Crime Data for 2013, FY2013-14 Adopted Budget  and other public information through the datasets.

KCStat Dashboard displays data through a cross-browser, modual interface.
