LINC is a major user of Apricot — a case management system developed by Social Solutions.
Social Solution recently received a major investment from Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft, to make enhancements in the Apricot platform. Social Solutions is working closely with LINC and has a strong interest in developing strong collaborative tools based on the extensive work already underway in Kansas City.
The $59 million investment is intended to accomplish three things:
enable Social Solutions to double-down on research and development to more quickly expand product features and improve design of the Apricot platform,
facilitate integration with other public and non-profit systems, using robust data-sharing agreements to protect privacy, for better analysis of service results, and
cut the licensing costs for early showcase users to show the possibilities in using Apricot.
In March 2019, LINC became the second community to be recipients of Social Solutions matching grants using funding from Ballmer Group. The matching grants will defray 50 percent of the licensing costs for Social Solutions’ leading case management and analytics solution, Apricot 360. LINC signed a five-year software licensing agreement. Here’s a media release announcing the development which also included LINC’s sister organization ARCHS also signing as well.
LINC’s use of a pre-enrollment intake form was also highlighted by Social Solutions in a case study.
Ballmer shared his vision for his investment at the October 2018 Social Solutions Impact Summit held in Austin, Texas, where Social Solutions is located.
LINC also conducted a workshop at the summit and compiled this document showing how LINC used Apricot to support its extensive community efforts to support children and families.
