This change affects about 5,000 children in 3,600 households who received $90 per eligible child in 2018.
SEBTC is a demonstration project funded by USDA to give families with school age children in the Kansas City, Hickman Mills, and Center school districts more resources for food needs during the summer months when school is not in session. This demonstration project is offered in limited areas.
In previous years, families participating in SEBTC received additional food benefits during the summer months when school was not in session.
The SEBTC program was not be renewed in 2019 for our area, and no additional food benefits will be available to previous SEBTC families.
