LINC intends to apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant

LINC intends to submit three different applications for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers federal grant.

Each grant application includes three different schools. The schools were selected with the support and assistance of the school district.

Copies of the application, once submitted, are available upon request.

LINC has been extensively involved with the federal 21st Century Communities Learning Center grants and shown strong results.

KIDS COUNT report shows persistent poverty among Missouri's children

Nearly 30 years after the KIDS COUNT Data Book began exposing the plight of U.S. children, more than 252,000 Missouri children continue to live in poverty.

Missouri ranked 28th out of 50 states in measures of children’s economic well-being, education, health and their families and communities. Missouri slipped down from 26th in the 2018 data book.

Learn chess or learn to teach it. LINC's free summer programs open to all

Chess Camp is geared toward children who have already participated in at least one of LINC’s chess tournaments and who want to advance their game. Chess University would be ideal for parents who want to be able to teach the game to their children and for school staffers who want to be able to help tutor children learning chess in after-school and summer school programs.
