Raghuveer, Nunnelly to be honored at SCLC's Martin Luther King Interfaith Service

Two community crusaders very well known to LINC will be honored Sunday as part of Kansas City’s tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King. Tara Raghuveer, who has become a champion of tenants’ rights, and long-time community activist Jim Nunnelly will receive the 2021 Evelyn Wasserstrom Awards at Kansas City’s annual MLK Jr Interfaith Service.

“Without these people our healthcare system would collapse,” said Jim Nunnelly, organizer of the “community thank-you” event for volunteer caregivers Nov. 2 in Kansas City. The caregivers were greeted by city leaders and then went to work helping an effort to improve our healthcare system.
