The summer food benefits will be added automatically to EBT cards for most qualifying families. Other families need to apply and the deadline is August 31, 2024.

Summer EBT card food program for children returning in 2024 and beyond

The summer EBT food program for qualifying families with children is returning for Missourians in 2024, and will be a permanent program going forward, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced today. The benefit will provide an extra $120 per child over three summer months.

Apply for one-time summer P-EBT food card benefit by Oct. 10

Families with children who qualified for free or reduced-price school meals in the last school year can also receive a one-time $375 benefit per child through the summer Pandemic-EBT card program. The deadline for making application is Oct. 10.
