Advocates plan Aug. 30th KC event on children and family issues

Missouri Children’s Leadership Council (MOCLC) and the Local Investment Commission (LINC) will host a listening session to gather feedback on child well-being issues impacting our community.

The listening session will be held Wed., Aug. 30th at 3 pm at the Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Rd., Kansas City, Mo. 64110..

At the event, the Missouri Children’s Leadership Council will review actions impacting children and families during the recently concluded state legislative session.

In addition, to help it more effectively advocate in Jefferson City, the MOCLC is eager to collect feedback from groups and individuals who work with families and children every day.

Information received will be used to develop policy priorities for the 2018 legislative session in Jefferson City.

Attendees will also learn how you can be more involved in advocating for child well-being with state policymakers.

Listening session are being held by MOCLC across the entire state.
