Caring Communities Day 2025 is here! Saturday, Sept. 6
What began as a celebration of community strength and gratitude after the pandemic has become one of the biggest annual parties in the heart of Kansas City.
The fourth version of LINC’s Caring Communities Day once again will show what fun it is when families, businesses, churches, service providers, game makers, food grillers and entertainers come together to put on a completely free celebration.
Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the love and joy happens again at the corner of 27th Street and Prospect Avenue.
Some 40 partners and service providers are joining the event at the Morning Star Youth and Family Life Center. So, there will be the grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, frozen treats, deejayed music, line dancing, raffle prizes and games for all ages.
But there will also be community resources, helpful services like legal aid, internet and digital support, gun safety locks, health screenings, clothing, hygiene products and baby items, health kits, information on many more city and community services.
And — to say it again — it’s all free.
