Earth Day at LINC: Free tree seedlings, family science games, and baby chicks

Earth Day opens a lot of opportunities for things LINC loves: Families, fun, science, future thinking and lots of learning.

And baby chicks.

With the help of Neighborhood Forest and the Mid-Continent Public Library’s Reading Rocket, LINC’s S.T.E.A.M. team brought families together to pick up free tree seedlings for planting, and explore books, art and games for the love of our natural planet earth.

The baby chicks, part of LINC’s collaboration with the University of Missouri Extension incubator program, are inspiring children at a dozen LINC Caring Communities sites with their glimpse at the full cycle of life. We all depend on the future health of our planet, the only planet we’ve got.
