Get help with past due water bills at KC amnesty event April 24

Many Kansas City residents can get relief of up to $1,250 on past due water bills during a special amnesty period.

The KC Water Services Department will be open to provide the assistance at a special event Monday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the KC Water Administration Building, 4700 E. 63rd St.

Reserve a spot at the event by calling 816-513-0125. Only a limited number of walk-ins will be accepted.

People who can’t make the April 24 event can call to schedule an appointment.

The amnesty event will help KC residents who:

  • Have an outstanding account balance of $350 or more.

  • Are in danger of having their services shut o­ff.

  • Are currently without water services.

  • Were previously denied water services in their name due to an outstanding balance.

  • Or print the application and bring it to the April 24 event.

  • Or pick up an application from the KC Water lobby at 4800 E. 63rd St.
