Hickman Mills Family Summit ready for in-person return

LINC’s video from 2020 shows the last time the Hickman Mills Family Summit was an in-person event.

As yet another refreshing sign we’re emerging from Covid’s winter, the annual Hickman Mills Family Summit is planning to return as an in-person event March 5.

The show always goes on. Last year the event took place virtually. But it will look familiar this time around with a vast array of community partners gathered under one roof to share their resources for the Hickman Mills community.

A year ago, Kids Zone events like Mad Science were online. This year the shows expect to be in-person

And, of course, LINC and its bevy of prizes will be back as well.

The event will run from 10 a.m, to 1 p.m. on March 5 at Smith-Hale Middle School, 9010A Old Santa Fe Drive.

There will be a job fair with many local employers, plus a health fair for free screenings and other health services. Kids will be entertained in the Kids Zone.

Volunteers are also needed. Call 816-316-7040 to get involved.
