Make your move: Deadline nearing to sign up for LINC Chess tourney

LINC’s area chess tournament returns to North Kansas City High School Dec. 3, and the deadline to register online for all age groups is Nov. 30 at noon.

Register now at kclinc.org/chess.

The tournament is open to all Kansas City-area K-12 chess players and will be divided into divisions for players in grades K-2, K-5, K-8 and K-12. All players must know how the pieces move and how to make a checkmate.

A free lunch will be provided.

The action begins at North Kansas City High School, 620 E. 23rd Ave., North Kansas City with the first round at 9:30 a.m. Players must be pre-registered and signed in by 9 a.m. to participate in the opening round.

The last round will end by 4:30 p.m.
