Would you like to help shape the future of Kansas City’s Hickman Mills area? Join city planners at a public meeting to give input on the Hickman Mills Area Plan update.

NOTE: The city has changed the meeting date.

When: Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5:30pm - 7:00 p.m.

Where: KCPD South Patrol Division Station, 9701 Marion Park Drive, Kansas City, MO

Area plans recommend strategies to help realize a community’s long term vision and the city wants the public’s help creating a comprehensive framework to guide public decisions on land use, housing, public improvements, community development and city services.

The Hickman Mills Area Plan includes the area generally bound by 87th Street on the north, I-49/71 Highway on the west, the Grandview city limits on the south and Raytown Road on the east. If you live within those boundaries, this is a great opportunity to give your input on the draft plan.

At the meeting, you can expect an overview of the planning process, proposed recommendations for the upcoming plan, and next steps for adoption and implementation. You will have an opportunity to hear these ideas and to provide input to city staff to be included in the final document.
