Volunteers needed for Project Shine in Independence

The Independence School District will hold its 9th annual Project Shine event on Saturday, June 25, 7 a.m.-2 p.m.

Every year the district leads volunteer projects at designated schools to clean, paint, and update. This year's schools are Blackburn Elementary, Glendale Elementary, Luff Elementary Procter Elementary, and William Southern Elementary.

The district is seeking hands-on volunteers, supplies, and corporate sponsors for the event.
