Volunteers needed for First Book distribution in KC

Volunteers are needed to help sort, pack, label, and organize over 500,000 books for distribution to public schools and programs serving children from low-income families.

First Book, a nonprofit that provides books to kids in need, will bring over 500,000 brand-new books to a warehouse in Kansas City, Mo., prior to distributing to books to the community.

Volunteers are needed for the following dates:

When: Monday, Sept. 21-Friday, Sept. 25
Where: Kansas City, MO 64127
Times: Morning Shift 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
           Afternoon Shift 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Needs: Volunteers must be able to stand for their entire shift and lift 10 o 30 pound boxes of books
