Every Hero Has A Story!

Over 1,000 children from all over Kansas City came to the Sprint Center for a summer reading celebration. Every Hero Has A Story kicked off with Kansas City, Mo. Mayor Sly James reading the book Superhero ABCs. Christa Dubill from 41 Action News - KSHB-TV served as the SUPER emcee as children participated in a superhero fashion show with costumes created by local volunteers.

Over 500 students from LINC Caring Communities summer programs in the Fort Osage, Grandview, and Hickman Mills School Districts attended the event. Each student received a free bag of books to take home.

Students from summer programs by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and Kansas City Freedom School also attended.
