Two longtime LINC site coordinators retire

Two long-time LINC Caring Communities site coordinators – Janis Bankston and Erma Wright – are retiring.

Both were recognized by LINC founder Bert Berkley at the May 2015 LINC Commission meeting.

Bankston joined LINC in 1996 and is one of the original LINC Caring Communities site coordinators. She has worked at several different African-centered schools in the Kansas City Public School district and was deeply involved with the transition of ACE, a contract school, to the African-Centered College Preparatory Academy, a district school.

Wright joined LINC in 1999 working as the Site Coordinator at Weeks Elementary in Kansas City until she moved to the Hickman Mills School District in 2008. She currently is the site coordinator at Truman Elementary in Hickman Mills.
