Annual Night Out Against Crime to connect Independence October 6
A community festival is planned for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 in McCoy Parks for Independence families and residents.
Night Out Against Crime is a national celebration dedicated to keeping communities safe for residents. Independence Police Department and residents can connect to learn how to better protect their community together.
Free food and family fun will be provided throughout the night. Family can enjoy hot dogs and games. See Night Out Against Crime 2014.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime efforts
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
