Free utility information resources available to Missouri residents

Free community resources will be available to Missouri residents during the Community Resource and Energy Fair Saturday, June 21, in Independence. The fair is sponsored by the MIssouri Public Service Commission.

Attendees will have access to the tools and information needed to make an informed decision concerning utility services, utility payment assistance, weatherization, housing and senior services and other resources.

"We are excited about the opportunity to meet with customers in the Kansas City and Independence area and talk about the various ways they can reduce their energy usage, which can have an impact on their utility bills," said Public Service Commission Chairman Robert Kenney. "There will be several area organizations involved in the event and it will be a 'one-stop shop' type of setting for consumers."

The public is welcomed to attend at Mid-Continent Public Library-North Independence Branch from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The fair will be held in Program Rooms 1 and 2.
