Three Trails students receive books

Three Trails Elementary students in the Independence School District received a personal book as a way to promote summer reading.

Every elementary student in Independence, Fort Osage, Hickman Mills, Center, Grandview, Kansas City and some North Kansas City schools received a book.

LINC was able to distribute over 27,000 books.

The books were provided by LINC with support from First Book - a national non-profit committed to sharing books.

First Book provides access to new books for children in need.

First Book has distributed more than 100 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada.
