Crosby Kemper III honored during Hero Project at Gladstone Elementary

Gladstone Elementary students recognized Crosby Kemper III as their "hero" in special school project.

The students each year pick an individual or community leader whose life the students will study. The students interview the individual, make posters and then produce an original video about the selected individual.

This year the Kansas City Public School students selected Kemper who is the Kansas City Public Library director and part of prominent Kansas City civic family.

This year the event culminated with a special reception at the school including students, staff and friends of Kemper.

The sixth grade students involved are taught by Jennifer Jones.

The project is supported by vice principal Tearo Condit and principal Dana Carter. The LINC site coordinator is Roosevelt Dickerson.
