Students, teachers and more celebrate Grandview School District 100 anniversary

Students, city officials, senators and more celebrated the 100 anniversary of the Grandview School District this week. 

Grandview School District reached its 100 anniversary Wed. April 9. Students from schools across the district celebrated with talent shows, creating time capsules, and balloon launches. 

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill and Representative Emmanuel Cleaver II acknowledged the district's milestone from Washington D.C. while the city of Grandview honored the district during the Board of Aldermen meeting Tuesday, April 8 at city hall. 

LINC Caring Communities participated in creating time capsules at Martin City K-8 and Butcher-Greene, Conn-West and Meadowmere Elementary crated a '100 Things About the Grandview C-4 School District' display to be hung in the gym. Belvidere Elementary celebrated the morning with a balloon release commemorating the Grandview C-4 School District.
