Coalition for Community Schools continues to support equity with new website
Coalition for Community Schools recently launched a new website equityandcommunityschools.org in support of equity in the community school strategy by reducing the limits of institutional barriers.
Stories from community schools across the country can now be shared on the Coalition's new website.
Coalition for Community Schools supports the idea of community schools as a way to support academically, socially, emotionally and civically based on a community’s individual needs. The goal of the new website is for the Coalition to support equity in schools by showcasing the voices and stories of teachers and students.
According to the October Community Schools Exchange newsletter:
“The website includes an expanded equity framework, detailing the roles all education stakeholders can play in ensuring fairness and opportunity. Additional tools from the field will also illuminate new understanding and perspectives of the issue at hand.”
