USDA undersecretary visits Elm Grove

Elm Grove Caring Communities in the Fort Osage School District was host to Kevin Concannon, Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services for the US  Dept. of Agriculture (USDA).

Students enjoyed activities where they could taste many different kinds of fruits and vegetables.

The students are planting their own garden this spring. Vegetables grown will be used in lunches prepared at the school.

LINC promotes healthy eating and active lifestyles in all of its programs.
