LINC Chess Girls Tournament hosts 40 despite winter weather
LINC Chess hosted 40 players on Saturday, Feb. 23 for the 2nd Annual Girls' Tournament despite the winter storm that passed through on Thursday.
Girls competed in one of three divisions against players from Kansas City area schools. Final results were sent to school coaches. Additional photos are posted on Facebook.
LINC sees chess as a way to promote sportsmanship, critical thinking and focus in life and in academics.
