LINC Chess tourney wraps up 2022-2023 season

Chess players from kindergarten through high school from across the Kansas City area face off at LINC’s season finale tournament at Smith-Hale Middle School in Hickman Mills.

LINC’s mission to engage children of all ages in the brain-building, problem-solving, sportsmanship of chess wrapped up its 2022-2023 season with an area-wide tournament May 13 at Smith-Hale Middle School in Hickman Mills.

A total of 116 players representing 35 schools competed in K-2, K-5, K-8 and K-12 divisions.
