New Missouri Job Center Branch Opens in Cass County

The Full Employment Council (FEC) and West Central Missouri Community Action Agency (West Central) has opened a one-stop shop for workforce development in Cass County.

Cass County residents will have additional workforce development resources available due to the consolidation of different services and agencies at one location in Raymore.

A formal ribbon cutting took place Jan. 30th at the two-story building located at 208 W. Walnut.

Services offered include: resume development, basic computer skills training, career counseling, vocational rehabilitative services (VR), tuition assistance, debt-free skill training, paid on-the-job training/internships, apprenticeships and supportive services for transportation assistance, work clothing vouchers, tools and supplies. These services focus on high-growth industry sectors for the region including: advanced manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, transportation, warehouse/logistics, finance/business services and construction.

LINCWorks is part of the collaborative efforts located in the two-story office building.

The new Missouri Job Center/ Cass County Branch expands on current service offerings by providing comprehensive employment, training and workforce development services to Cass County employers and both youth and adults seeking employment.

The new Missouri Job Center/ Cass County Branch is the culmination of a long-standing relationship between FEC and West Central. The center will greatly enhance workforce development efforts in Cass County.

During a recent Cass County Corporation for Economic Development (CCCED) meeting, Deputy Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Luke Holtsneider, was on hand to recognize Cass County’s achievement as a Certified Work Ready Community.
