KCPS families need to pre-register for the “Drive Thru Edition” of the annual Summerfest. But everyone can look forward to watching education shows on KCPS Homeroom.

KCPS Summerfest 2016 helps families get ready for school

KCPS Summerfest 2016 featured free food, athletic competitions, fun and educational games, backpack and school supplies giveaways, live entertainment, free physicals and student immunizations. The festival included a wide variety resources and activities, as well as celebrity guests.

KCPS to host Summerfest back to school event, Aug. 6

Kansas City Public Schools will host a free Summerfest Back to School Festival to give families a day of fun while also taking care of back-to-school business.

The event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., at 2901 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
