Raghuveer, Nunnelly to be honored at SCLC's Martin Luther King Interfaith Service

Two community crusaders very well known to LINC will be honored Sunday as part of Kansas City’s tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King. Tara Raghuveer, who has become a champion of tenants’ rights, and long-time community activist Jim Nunnelly will receive the 2021 Evelyn Wasserstrom Awards at Kansas City’s annual MLK Jr Interfaith Service.

By joining LINC in 2011, Dickerson had found a challenging next step for a life of service after three decades serving his country in the Air Force. “You understand the message,” he said to the gathered LINC staff and supporters in the audience, “because you fight it daily, striking at the very heart of what we call injustice.”
