Expansion to the middle school has been a long-time goal for the Grandview School District and LINC.

Adding the middle school was possible through funding from a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant through the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The new LINC site coordinator for the middle school is Michael Shode.

LINC has a program at Smith-Hale Middle School in the Hickman Mills School District. And two other schools, Martin City (Grandview) and Foreign Language Academy (KCPS), have kindergarten through 8th grade programs.

Grandview Middle School is the 53rd LINC Caring Communities site, which are located in six different school districts (Grandview, Hickman Mills, Center, Kansas City, North Kansas City and Fort Osage) and two charter schools.
