For ‘the most important work on the planet,’ LINC managers train with National Council for Mental Wellbeing to be best selves

Middle Management Academy Consultant Jeanne Supin, right, instructs LINC managers on the next activity.

Middle Management Academy Consultant Jeanne Supin with the National Council for Wellbeing spent the best part of a recent week helping a group of LINC managers explore how to be their best selves.

And after working on values and strengths and best practices, and then baring honest concerns with the challenges of the work, the group emerged as Supin had hoped — “with an enthusiasm and energy that people reclaim for their work.”

It’s important, Supin reminded the LINC team, “because I think you all are doing the most important work on the planet right now.”

LINC Caring Communities Coordinator Bryan Geddes speaks during the group project portion of the training.

LINC’s mission of building stronger families together excels, she said, “first and foremost (when you have) a sense of being yourself, being authentic, and then building management skills on top of that.”

“What makes us great and makes us powerful,” she said, “is being true to who we are.”

Take a peek at LINC’s week of training.
