LINC Commissioner Tricia Scaglia Appointed Associate Circuit Judge for Jackson County

The Greater Kansas City Local Investment Commission (LINC) proudly celebrates the appointment of Commissioner Patricia M. “Tricia” Scaglia as Associate Circuit Judge for Jackson County in the 16th Judicial Circuit.

On April 17, 2026, Mike Kehoe announced Scaglia’s appointment to the bench, where she will serve the residents of Jackson County and continue her longstanding commitment to justice, children, and families throughout the Kansas City region.

“Tricia’s appointment is a tremendous honor not only for her, but for the entire community she has faithfully served throughout her career,” said LINC leadership. “Her dedication to families, advocacy for children, and passion for strengthening communities embody the values at the heart of LINC’s mission. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone alongside her.”

Scaglia is the owner of Scaglia Law Firm, LLC and previously served as an associate attorney at Campbell and Simpkins, LLC. Throughout her legal career, she has focused on family law, juvenile law, and civil matters impacting children and families. Her work has earned widespread recognition, including the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Practitioner of the Year Award, the Hon. Kelly J. Moorhouse Dedication to Children Award, and the Hope House Spirit of Community Award.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Scaglia has demonstrated exceptional civic leadership across the Kansas City area. She has served as Chair of The Missouri Bar’s Family Law Section, a member of The Missouri Bar Board of Governors, and President of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City.

A deeply engaged community advocate, Scaglia also mentors Kansas City students through PREP-KC, serves on the board of Literacy KC, and regularly provides pro bono legal services for individuals and families connected to LINC’s Caring Communities network. She is also an active member of the Heart of Westport Neighborhood Association and Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.

Scaglia joined the LINC Commission in 2024, bringing extensive experience in service to schools, neighborhoods, and families. Her leadership has supported LINC’s mission to strengthen communities through workforce development, employment services, and Caring Communities initiatives serving children and families across 53 school sites in six school districts. LINC congratulates Judge Scaglia on this historic appointment and looks forward to the continued impact of her leadership and service to the community.
