‘To be stronger,’ LINC and Trilogy Sports prepare youth for higher sports opportunities

LINC wants to provide more youth the opportunities that come with playing high school and college sports.

LINC’s partnership with Trilogy Sports and Fitness, with financial support from DM Law in Kansas City, aims to open those doors for more LINC students, said LINC Athletic Director Jason Ervin.

“We want to show kids the work it takes to play competitive sports at the next level,” he said. Students at Foreign Language Academy in the Kansas City Public Schools got to work with the Trilogy team this spring, and LINC plans to expand the program throughout its middle school programs, Ervin said.

Trilogy founder and master elite level trainer Corey Phillips likes what he sees in the students.

“We see the growth,” he said. “It’s an awesome time to see children themselves find where their potential is . . . finding that they really have a lot more in them.”
