Caring Communities Day, one of Kansas City’s biggest celebrations of community connection, support, and togetherness, returns on Saturday, September 12!

What began in 2022 as a celebration of resilience and gratitude following the pandemic has grown into a vibrant annual event that brings thousands of neighbors, families, organizations, and community leaders together in the heart of the city.

Hosted by LINC in partnership with dozens of community organizations, Caring Communities Day is a completely free, family-friendly event filled with food, music, games, dancing, giveaways, and activities for all ages. Beyond the fun, the event connects residents to valuable community resources and services, including health screenings, legal aid, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, baby items, digital support, and more.

Each year, Caring Communities Day demonstrates the power of what’s possible when a community comes together to support one another. With more than 2,000 attendees and over 40 partners participating in recent years, the event has become a meaningful tradition that uplifts families, strengthens neighborhoods, and celebrates the spirit of Kansas City.
