The soon to reopen Hale Cook Elementary school recently held an open house for parents, children and the community.

Over 100 parents and students gathered on the lawn to meet the principal, teachers, and LINC staff.

Hale Cook is in the Kansas City Public Schools and will be he newest LINC Caring Communities site in the school district.

Hale Cook will initially serve children in prekindergarten to second grade and expanded to additional grades in subsequent years.

Parents spent several years organizing to reopen the school which is located in south Kansas City located at 7302 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64114.

Julie Lynch is the Hale Cook principal; Marlissa Collins is the LINC site coordinator.
