At the April 21 LINC Commission Meeting, former LINC Site Coordinator Bill Rogers introduced Mayor of Independence Missouri Don Reimal. Monday was Reimal's final day in office after two terms as mayor.

A retired carpenter, Reimal first was elected in 1994 to represent the city’s 1st District on the Independence City Council. He served 12 years there before voters elected him mayor in April 2006.
