Community members in Fairmount have been working with LINC staff to prepare for the Christmas Block Party Saturday, December 13 in the Fairmount Family Business District in northwestern Independence.

This effort, to promote awareness and potential business to Fairmount, gained local attention. 

The Examiner reporter, Jeff Fox, attended the Christmas Block Party preparation meeting to speak with LINC site council members about supporting the community, young area families, current challenges, and more.

The Christmas Block Party will be held Saturday, December 13 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Fairmount Family Medical Clinic, Los Amigos, and Palomino's.
