6th Annual Project Shine Independence on July 13th

Multiple facilities are going to benefit from Project Shine Independence School District Saturday, July 13. Bridger Middle School, Korte Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Nowlin Middle School and Three Trails Elementary are seeking volunteers for Project Shine.

Projects are currently in formation, however volunteers will be needed to paint, clean, and possibly work outside on the playground. Help celebrate the 6th Annual Project Shine by volunteering or as a corporate sponsor.

For more information and to volunteer for Project Shine Independence School District, contact District Project Shine Coordinator Allie Kisner at 816-521-5300

More than 1,000 of you showed up to pitch in and polish, prune, and paint until five schools in the Independence School District looked completely refreshed.  With your hard work, you accomplished in one year what it would have taken maintenance crews years to accomplish.  Your work wasn’t the only thing that made a difference; your attitude is inspiring and the seed you planted during Project Shine will continue to grow throughout the year.  Thank you for all that you do to make the Independence School District shine!
