LINC seeking grant funding from DESE’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers program

LINC is applying for grant funding from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers program (21 CCLC). Resources and programming proposed by LINC include:

  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers that support student learning before and after school, with an emphasis on STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math).
  • Access to support in addressing needs of the community (crisis intervention, parenting resources, utility assistance, etc.).
  • Monthly meetings to help parents and neighbors connect with local resources.
  • Events throughout the year that promote student and family engagement.
  • LINC will provide before and after school STEAM focused activities and events that are available to all school-aged children in the community.

 

Proposed sites for 21st Century Community Learning Centers are:

Grandview School District

Meadowmere Elementary

Hickman Mills School District

Burke Elementary

Compass Elementary

Ingels Elementary

Kansas City Public Schools

Banneker Elementary

James Elementary

King Elementary

Rogers Elementary

Wendell Phillips Elementary
