Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports directly to the President/CEO and is a key member of the LINC leadership team. This position has wide ranging internal and external responsibilities including managing and supervising finance and implementing overall finance strategy.


  • Master’s degree in relevant field and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the field or in a related area, OR combination of post baccalaureate education and relevant experience.

  • Provide familiarity and experience in federal, state and local funding.

  • Understanding of non-profit governance and management.

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities.

  • Responsible for and advising staff on compliance with non-profit regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Strong background in social/human services, particularly those which are state-funded

  • Able to develop, monitor and secure funding to support the organization.

  • Identify and direct appropriate government grant or foundation funding opportunities consistent with the organization’s work and initiatives.

  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of community partners including school districts, city and county government and other community-based organizations.

  • Able to present and represent the organization to the community and other groups as appropriate.

  • Ability to work on multi-party collaborative work groups when necessary

  • Monitor legal matters and audit functions.

  • Provide overall direction and leadership to finance.

  • Other duties as assigned.
